Verizon
Verizon News
Verizon regularly partners with organizations from grade schools to governments and uses time-sensitive press releases to announce their many products, special programs and innovations. Verizon News became their digital calling card for journalists, trade publications, and websites who are reporting on what’s new and next.
Content at the speed of breaking news.
Establishing creative process, communication channels and delivery systems was critical to managing timelines as short as four days.
Program Strategy
-
To meet the our publishing deadlines, it was imperative we created systems for project kickoffs and legal review. Additionally, by developing an approved creative style and approach designed to create urgent, ownable assets, we could spend more time developing actionable stories meant to engage our target audience to action: journalists.
-
To encourage journalists of all levels of publications to interact with our content, we grounded each story in emotionally surprising statistics, insights on social climates, and relevant findings from trusted news sources. These combined factors contributed to a tone that was cutting-edge, highly relevant, and easily sourced.
-
As we often worked with third-party partner organizations, alongside Verizon, template files and creative guides were created to streamline every step of the process:
Pre-production story-mining
Client kickoff and storyline approval
Storyboards for client and legal approval
After Effects “template” files meant for plug-and-play assembly of content sections
Captions, transcriptions and final delivery
-
We explored every active device within their brand standards to create ownable moments specific to the Verizon News brand. Stock footage supplemented the look and polish of the videos, but critical moments of data visualization were featured prominently, using branded color, patterning, and motion dynamics to enhance the viewers connection to the data. Additionally, creative and copy were created in ironclad tandem to produce copy tailored for it’s typesetting.
-
Over 56 pieces of net-new animated videos were developed for this content series, in two exported sizes, shared across at least three social media platforms through micro-paid (Meta, LinkedIn) and organic means for Verizon and their partners.
